Mark E. Drotos

My name is Mark E. Drotos author of The Haunting of Crimshaw Manor.  I have always been a fan of Fantasy books and mysteries.  I still remember seeing the animated version of The Hobbit on Television during one Thanksgiving when I was in forth grade and wrote notes about it so I wouldn't forget it.  Came to find out that it was a book (imagine that) and so began my love of reading.

While attending Radford University I founded a fantasy role playing game club (yes.. Dungeons & Dragons) and met some great people who introduced me to the works of Stephen King, H.P. Lovecraft and others. I also discovered the genere of horror role playing games such as Chill, GURPS Horrors and Call of Cthulhu.  During my Junior and Senior year I moved into a haunted house and had my own paranormal encounters.  At that time, however, there was no real understanding on the subject of the paranormal, and my curiosity was never satisfied.

After a successful career in law enforcement with the last fifteen years as a detective I have developed an appreciation for a good mystery.  With the explosion of paranormal series such as Ghost Hunters, Ghost Adventures and Paranormal State; I wanted to put into an enjoyable story my thoughts and maybe some of my "adventures" in investigating the paranormal in a fictional setting.  I hope you enjoy the stories.
